Juvederm® Vollure™ XC is a great option if you have moderate to severe wrinkles and folds on your face, particularly around your nose and mouth. You are also a good candidate if you are looking to refresh the lower portion of your face with minimal side effects and recovery.

Juvederm® Vollure™ XC is injected into the face, in the areas around the nose and mouth. Before the procedure, the injection specialist will clean the area where the filler will be inserted. Then, they will use a fine-gauge needle to insert the Juvederm® Vollure™ XC right below your skin. During the first session, it is common for the specialist to pause in-between injections to ensure the lidocaine in the product has a chance to work before moving on. They will smooth and shape the filler in the injection spot by lightly massaging it with their fingers.

The most common side effects of Juvederm® Vollure™ XC are injection site responses such as swelling, tenderness, redness, itching, discoloration, and pain. A majority of these side effects resolve within one to two weeks of the procedure. To ensure the treatment is able to evenly distribute across the face, it is advised that you avoid strenuous exercise for 24 hours following treatment. In order to reduce swelling and bruising, it is recommended to stay out of the sun and avoid drinking alcohol immediately before and after treatment.

Due to its innovative ingredients, Juvederm® Vollure™ XC has shown to provide results for up to 18 months following the injection- an entire year longer than other injectables on the market. The more expert your injection specialist is, the longer your Vollure™ XC may last.
